Late 19th wooden folk art childs rattle with heart design

Folky childs rattle made for a child in the 1880’s. Wire nails with inter locking boxes that hold the rattles. Measures 8 inches long and 6 inches wide. With heart design on handle and near top. This is a true folky piece that you don’t see often.
