Forged Iron 18th C. Broiler w/ Grease Pan for Lamp
This example is the only one I have seen in 35 years complete. Measures 11 by 11 with grooves in the iron bars. Has curls on the feet and a pan behind that would catch the grease for fat lamps. Note the curls on the feet and the pouring spout on the pan as well as the wonderful 8 inch length fancy-shaped handle. This broiler has all the bells and whistles, and is such a rare example of an 18th century 1750-1780 piece.
