19th century Virginia splint Mellon basket great dark dry patina

This is a early 19th century splint basket form seen in Va. I bought this knowing the condition as you see it with some splint loss. Still a rare form and wonderful dark rich patina and color. Measures 14 inches long by 8 inches tall .
